Fish will be frying Saturday, Sept. 12, at the CARE fundraiser, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Porterdale Bar and Grill, 52 S Broad Street, No. 200, Porterdale. The menu includes hush puppies and cole slaw.

Tickets are $8 and are available at Stylin’ at the Mill Salon, Porterdale Bar and Grill, or from one of the members of CARE.

Proceeds benefit the CARE Scholarship Fund to help a Porterdale student at Newton County Career Academy further their education.
