PORTERDALE, Ga. - The Porterdale Police Department (PPD) hosts a Police Night Out event Tuesday night as a back to school celebration.

PPD Chief Jason Cripps said he likes to hosts community outreach events regularly and did not get the opportunity to do so this summer because of the hot weather. Cripps and his department provided hamburgers, hot dogs and refreshments for Tuesday's event.
