COVINGTON, Ga. - One person was transported to a hospital after a three-car crash Thursday morning.

It happened at Emory Street Southwest (Georgia 81) and Washington Street Southwest.

Police said a black Chevrolet Impala going south on Emory Street ran a red light and hit an eastbound blue-and-white Ford Bronco. The collision caused the cars to spin into a third car, which was stopped.

Covington police and Piedmont Newton EMS responded.
