Chick-fil-A’s Covington location is adding a second drive-thru ordering speaker in an effort to help customer traffic flow more smoothly and is adding an outdoor patio.

Manager Jessica Hall said the restaurant will now have two areas for drive-thru customers to order items, which will merge back into a single lane at the window; of-ficials hope the addition will help more cars get through the drive-thru lane quicker.

In addition, the restaurant is adding a patio to allow customers to eat outdoors, and is also moving the handicap parking spaces closer to the building and adding “better landscaping,” Hall said.

“Hopefully, it will make the store look more beautiful,” she said Tuesday.

Construction began this past Friday and is expected to be completed by this Friday.
