The Chi Tau Omega chapter of AKA Sorority Inc. partnered with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, Dec. 14, to ensure no children of incarcerated parents in Conyers and Covington were forgotten by their loved ones this Christmas. Families attended an Angel Tree party, where they picked up their gifts. In addition, Antioch AME Church of Conyers donated food boxes to the families. More than 300 gifts were donated to more than 75 families whose loved ones are residents of local, state, and federal facilities.
