Doug Nolen, director of Medical Practice Management at Newton Medical Center, has been honored as the Covington-Newton County United Way Volunteer of the Year.

He serves on the allocations committee of the local United Way Board and was honored for his work in getting donations and helping residents of the county and medical center employees in need.
