A few more fast-food restaurants are coming to Newton County, including two near the Walmart at Salem and Brown Bridge roads. Chick-fil-A and Wendy’s are adding locations near the Walmart, while McDonald’s is opening a location on Ga. Highway 11. Chick-fil-A Chick-fil-A first had site plans approved last year for a location on Brown Bridge Road, directly adjacent to CVS and across from Walmart, and the company met with the county to renew those plans about two weeks ago, according to county Landscape Architect Debbie Bell.
