The newly elected officers of the Covington Area Employer Committee assumed leadership of the group in November. Officers are Bob Wehner, treasurer; Heather Weiss, secretary; and Candy Morris, chair.
The CAEC is a partnership of local business representatives working with the Department of Labor.
Primary goals of the organization include developing a valuable network of business and community contacts and keeping employers informed about changes and developments in employment law.
The one-hour meetings are held bi-monthly at 8 a.m. on the second Thursday of the month. The next meeting will be held on Jan. 14 at the Covington Career Center. There are no membership dues and new members are welcome. For more information contact Candy Morris at (770) 787-2002.
