Mayfield Hardware Company changes to help community

Monday was the first day of some exciting changes at Mayfield Hardware Company.

The hardware departments of Mayfield’s on the square will be temporarily closed in order to reorganize the product mix to focus exclusively on hardware to enhance the home environment instead of repair and maintenance. These changes will help Mayfield Hardware Company meet the changing needs of the community and all its customers.

Mayfield Ace Hardware in Newton Plaza will benefit from the infusion of a considerable amount of knowledge and expertise from the hardware employees of the downtown store. All the familiar faces from the hardware departments at Mayfield’s on the square will now be helping solve hardware problems at the Newton Plaza store.

These changes will mean great things for Mayfield Hardware Co. customers, as Mayfield’s will be able to provide a higher level of customer service at both locations. There will be a focused emphasis on meeting the needs of each store’s core customers and exceeding their specific expectations. Mayfield’s on the Square will be focused on gifts, toys, gourmet housewares, and the care of your home. Mayfield’s in Newton Plaza will be focused on repair, maintenance, and solving any problems in or around your home or business.

Mayfield’s on the square will now be opened Monday - Saturday 9:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. The back entrance of the store is temporarily closed The front door entrance on Washington Street will be the only access for a short time. The Gift Department and Max and Lily’s will remain open throughout the entire transition of the downtown store.
