Bard Global Distribution employees collected over 85 items such as dog food, cat food, animal carriers, bowls, cat litter, etc and donated all to the Newton County Animal Shelter. In addition to this cause, on Sept. 23 GDC employees held a hotdog plate/baked goods sale and raised $567.19 (before match) with all proceeds going to the Humane Society of Newton County. On Oct. 8 GDC employees volunteered their Saturday morning to help the Humane Society of Newton County with their largest fundraiser, the 2011 Mutt Show, by helping with set up, working the registration tables and assisting with close down.
