The BP gas station at Salem and Kirkland roads was once again hit in a robbery late Saturday evening and investigators from the Newton County Sheriff’s Office are looking for the men responsible.

Deputies were dispatched to the store at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday and spoke to the store clerk, receiving a detailed account of the incident.

According to the employee, two black males entered the store from the Salem Road area and both reportedly pointed silver handguns at him, demanding all the money from the cash register.

The clerk told deputies that one suspect was around 40-years-old, around 5-foot-10-inches and weighed about 200 pounds. He was wearing a green hoodie, white tennis shoes, a black baseball cap and blue jeans. According to the employee he was carrying a silver – possibly semi-automatic – pistol.

The other suspect was described to deputies as standing around 5-foot-3-inches and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He was wearing a blue baseball cap with a silver sticker on the bill, blue jean shorts, white tennis shoes, a black bubble jacket, a white t-shirt and carrying a silver revolver.

According to the employee, the two men forced him to the ground after emptying the register of hundreds of dollars, and ran from the store in the direction of Salem Road.
