The Newton County Board of Commissioners is preparing to meet Tuesday to discuss several pertinent issues, including a safe yield analysis for Lake Varner and the appointment of the elections board.

The BOC will also hear an update from the sheriff and a rezoning appeal for a property at 13125 Brown Bridge Road.

The meeting will convene at 7:00 p.m. on the second floor of the New County Historic Courthouse.
