An educator and teen life coach has planned a girl’s conference for young ladies in the Newton County community, which will be hosted by the grassroots organizations "Blossom Life" and "Executive in Stilettos."
Sharon Varner-Halback said the "Blossom Life Girl’s Conference 2014," is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at Hampton Inn, 14460 Lochridge Boulevard. The four-in-one conference will be for girls and women of Covington.
Varner-Halback is a middle and high school teacher at Covington Academy and a certified personal life coach for teens. She is also an author, songwriter and the founder of Positive Residue, an organization dedicated to providing education and support for families and schools by hosting youth leadership programs and facilitating weekly groups for teen girls and women.
With a passion for helping teens redefine who they are through inner beauty, individual style and self-development, Varner-Halback decided to organize an empowering girls’ conference in Newton County, having already hosted several in the metro Atlanta area.
The conference will be broken down into several different groups. The elementary girls program will begin at 9 a.m. to noon and will include the discussion, "The 5 Laws
