Be on the lookout issued for Newton man

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) has issued a Mattie’s Call for Ernest Stanton.

Stanton, a 75-year-old, white male, went missing form his residence at 12461 Hwy. 142 North, Oxford at around 4 p.m. Friday, according to the NCSO BOLO.

The NCSO said Stanton was last seen wearing blue jeans and a green plaid button-up shirt. He is 6-feet tall, approximately 170 pounds, and has hazel eyes.

According to the NCSO, Stanton has several medical conditions, including dementia. He left his residence at 4 p.m. Friday in a tan 2002 Ford F-250. His exact whereabouts were unknown as of Friday night.
