Detectives with the Covington Police Department are asking for help in their search for thieves who took diesel fuel in the past two weeks.

The thefts have occurred in the east and southwest areas of the city. Large amounts of fuel have been taken and detectives say that the thieves would have needed a big tank to hold the stolen fuel.

Police say to watch for pickup trucks with fuel tanks in the bed or semi-trucks parked side-by-side. If you may have seen someone stealing fuel, call 911.
