ATLANTA - A longtime foster mother has won $300,000 from the Georgia Lottery.
Lottery officials say 72-year-old Bonnie Gunter's husband, Rene Jimenez, bought the winning instant game ticket at a convenience store in Atlanta. Gunter has three foster children, four adopted children and four biological children.
She's run an in-home daycare for the last three decades. Gunter said the family is going to catch up on bills and then make plans for the rest of the money.
She called the winnings "such a gift."
