Sharing a culture: The first African and African American Festival was held on Saturday, Nov. 13. Event Coordinator Mary (Terri) James said, "I feel we all should know our history after reading the book ‘The Middle Passage.' I felt it was my duty to make a difference in educating people. The event was educational, informative, and enriching to all, history as we know it and live it, featuring African Folk Tales, Slave Ship dialog, local designers and hair stylists. Look for us in Feb. 2011 for Black History Month."
