Officers were called to a home on Crestview Drive to speak with a mother whose 11-year-old child was being threatened on Facebook by the father of one of his peers.
When officers arrived Monday evening they spoke with the woman who said the father had sent her son an e-mail on Facebook and that her son had an ongoing issue with the man's son for the past few years. She said that evening her son received a message from the father that said "Hey you stupid little punk... Let me make this clear... I don't mind going to jail if I have to take the place of your daddy and teach you how to leave people alone... I'll put an end to this for good."
The mother advised the officers that she had spoken with the school resource officer at the middle school her son attends and the officer told her to contact police and report the incident. She also told officers that the father had made a comment on a previous occasion that "he had been a police officer before and knew the law."
Officers noted the incident.
