Five teens were shot at a party in the early morning hours of June 28.

According to Newton County Sheriff's Office Lt. Tyrone Oliver, deputies received a call of a person shot on Trelawney Lane at approximately 12:01 a.m. When they arrived, the deputies found a large party, and when they entered the home ,they located the five teens who all appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds. Four of the teens - three males and two females - were transported to area hospitals and one was treated on the scene and released to a guardian. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

According to Oliver, the party was chaperoned and when unwanted guests arrived, they were asked to leave.

"That's when shots rang out," he said.

Investigators are following several leads but they have yet to make an arrest in the case. The investigation is ongoing and no further details are available at this time.
