A second man was arrested Saturday and charged with the May robbery at Bailey's Food Pride.
Javonte Demarcus Norfleet, 19, is charged with armed robbery, intimidation and possession of a firearm while trying to commit a crime. The charges stem from the May 27armed robbery of the Salem Road store, in which one man acted as a look-out while the other brandished a gun and took money from the cash register.
Shortly after the robbery, investigators from the Newton County Sheriff's Office arrested 19-year-old Traion West in a nearby subdivision. He allegedly tossed a large amount of money as he ran from deputies. He was charged with armed robbery, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and loitering and prowling.
Investigators had been searching for Norfleet since the robbery occurred and were able to apprehend him Saturday.
