The 187th Salem Camp meeting kicked off Friday with families from around Georgia and the United States returning for the week-long revival.

The camp meeting at 3940 Salem Road will hold Sunday School and services today, featuring Dr. Stephen Rankin, of Southern Methodist University, at 11 a.m. and Dr. Benny Tate, of Rock Springs Church in Milner, at 8 p.m.

The meeting runs through Friday with a candlelight closing service at 9:30 p.m.
