ATLANTA (AP) — Forecasters say strong to severe thunderstorms are expected Thursday afternoon into Friday morning across Georgia.
The National Weather Service said the storms are expected mainly in the form of a squall line with damaging winds. In its hazardous weather outlook, the weather service said large hail and a few tornadoes will also be possible.
Rainfall could range from 1 to 2 inches in most of north Georgia, including the Atlanta metro area.
In Georgia cities such as Columbus and Macon, rainfall amounts are expected to range from a half-inch to 1 inch.
