ATLANTA (AP) — The speed limit on part of the freeway that circles Atlanta will be increased to 65 mph.

The limit will be raised Friday on the southern portion of the Interstate 285 loop. That section is from Interstate 20 west to I-20 east.

CBS Atlanta reports that signs with the new posted speed limit, covered in black plastic, were expected to be unveiled around noon Friday.
