ATLANTA (AP) — A police chase briefly shut down the westbound lanes of a freeway that circles Atlanta during the tail end of Monday morning's rush hour.

WXIA-TV reports (http://on.11alive.com/ZvUQrS) that the chase on Interstate 285 involved a stolen vehicle.

The Georgia State Patrol said the stolen car was stopped near Flat Shoals Road around 8:50 a.m. Monday. Authorities said the chase shut down the westbound lanes near Flat Shoals.
