JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Looking for a tailgate party for the Florida-Georgia game in Jacksonville? It could cost you $250.
That's the price of admission to the Playmaker's Club, a three-story structure being erected outside Gate 4 at EverBank Field in time for Saturday's SEC matchup. But at least you'll party in style. Admission gets you unlimited bar, buffet, celebrity appearances and a pre-game concert. Oh, and there's air-conditioning and private restrooms.
The Florida Times-Union reports the portable party is being hosted by IMG College, which handles multimedia marketing and rights for 200 colleges. Next stop? The Rose Bowl in January. That's followed by the BCS national championship game, also in Pasadena, Calif.
IMG Senior Vice President Kelli Hilliard says premium hospitality is a new business line.
She says they'll sell 300 tickets.
