FAIRBURN, Ga. (AP) — A farm worker looking for a bull found him in an unlikely place: stuck in a well.

Emergency responders were working Wednesday to rescue the 1,500-pound bull from the well on the farm in Fairburn, south of Atlanta.

Abel Ambrosio Lopez owns the bull named Boy. He tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution he was looking around for the bull and was surprised when he found him in the well.

Ambrosio Lopez says the bull seems to be OK. Lopez waited for help to get Boy out of the well, which he estimates is 12 feet deep.

WSB-TV reported that crews used a backhoe to dig a bigger hole to allow the animal to walk out. But the bull decided to take a nap and didn't immediately leave once he was able.
