BALL GROUND, Ga. (AP) — A new scarecrow of Uncle Si Robertson from TV's "Duck Dynasty" has appeared in the small north Georgia town of Ball Ground. But how it got there -- and who created it -- is a mystery.

The new scarecrow, accompanied by a sign proclaiming "I'm back, Jack!," appeared this week near the spot where an earlier version was stolen. The charred remains of the old scarecrow were later recovered by police and a juvenile was charged with theft.

Ball Ground City Clerk Karen Jordan tells The Cherokee Tribune  that the new scarecrow appeared Tuesday morning. She describes it as "a random act of kindness." It portrays the reality show character standing on a curb and wearing boots, jeans, a camouflage shirt and hat.
