Ga. sales tax holiday expected to spur shopping

ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia's sales tax holiday is expected to bring more shoppers to stores this weekend.

CBS Atlanta reports that customers won't have to pay the sales tax on many back-to-school items, including clothing, computer equipment, athletic gear and other items.

The sales tax holiday comes too late for parents in some Georgia school districts. They've already bought back-to-school supplies since classes have already begun.
