MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — At Atlanta-area man is charged with killing his grandfather and driving around with the body for days in a theft scheme.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution  reports that 30-year-old Casey Collins was indicted on charges of murder, robbery, assault and concealing a death in the killing of his grandfather, 78-year-old Edward Smith of Lilburn.

The indictment also names 23-year-old Sarah Cook on the same charges.

Police say the two are accused of killing Smith in May and driving around in his pickup truck for at least four days with the body inside.

The man was stabbed and strangled. Investigators say Collins and Cook took the man's money and went shopping.

Both defendants are in custody. They'll have a chance later to enter pleas to the charges.
