DeKalb man indicted in crash that killed daughter

DECATUR, Ga. (AP) — A DeKalb County man has been indicted in the 2012 crash that killed his teenage daughter and critically injured his 11-year-old daughter.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Anthony Eugene Johnson faces charges of first-degree vehicular homicide, driving under the influence of alcohol, serious injury by vehicle and endangering a child while driving under the influence.

Prosecutors say Johnson was drunk on June 3, 2012 when the vehicle he was driving crashed into a tree near Stone Mountain.

His 15-year-old daughter died, and his 11-year-old daughter suffered a serious brain injury.

Johnson was arrested and was later released on $12,500 bond. Prosecutors have revealed he had two prior DUI arrests.
