ATLANTA (AP) — A bar employee in Atlanta made a grisly discovery when he arrived to open the business: A man's body just outside the entrance.

The body was found around 8 a.m. Tuesday at Moondogs, a sports bar and dance club on Peachtree Road, in the city's Buckhead neighborhood.

Atlanta police Lt. Paul Guerrucci said it appears that the person was trying to get inside the business and somehow got entangled in a security gate and became trapped around his neck.

Guerrucci said asphyxiation is a possible cause, but the medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.
