MMCC announces upcoming concerts for the 15th annual Madison Chamber Music Festival

MADISON, Ga. - The 15th annual Madison Chamber Music Festival would like to present its upcoming concerts this June with nationally-esteemed performers in a variety of local venues. 

June’s artists include the talented Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet, the stunning Chistiania Trio, and the awe-inspiring City of Angels Saxophone Quartet.

The Festival is under the artistic direction of Christopher Rex, Principal Cellist for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Tickets are on sale now, so get them before they run out!

Here’s a taste of what’s to come:

Friday, June 2 at 7 p.m.,  Atlanta Symphony Brass Quintet at Madison Town Park: Who doesn't love an outdoor concert in the beautiful month of June? Bring your chairs and a cooler and join us in Madison's Town Park for a free evening concert. The ASBQ began 46 years ago as the "Ceremonial Troupe" of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and has performed for numerous dignitaries including HRH Prince Charles. This lively concert will feature American music, classics, and marches. Sponsored by: Brady Inn

Sunday, June 4 at 3 p.m., Christiania Trio at Burge Plantation: Join the Christiania Trio - David Coucheron (ASO Concertmaster), pianist Julie Coucheron, and Christopher Rex (ASO Principal Cellist & the Festival's Artistic Director)- for a memorable afternoon of chamber music. With an exciting program sure to astound, three world-renowned musicians and Festival favorites are sure to astonish us yet again. Reception to follow.

Monday, June 12 at 10 a.m., City of Angels FREE Family Concert & Bike Parade at MMCC Auditorium: Bring your entire family out for a fun and free event of music with the City of Angels Saxophone Quartet! Come learn about some new instruments and styles of music and stay for a free ice cream social on the Front Lawn! Come decorate your bike decorated for our annual Bike Parade with the Painted Pineapple!  Prizes will be awarded for the "Most Musical" and "Most Madison" design! The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center is a multi-disciplinary non-profit arts organization located in a renovated 1895 Romanesque Revival school building in historic Madison.
