Auditions open to dancers age 5 and up

The Nutcracker Regional Ballet will be hosting auditions on Saturday, Aug. 22, for dancers interested in being a part of the 2009 performances. Auditions are open to all children ages five and up.

Auditions will be held at Mainstream Children's Dance Studio on College Avenue in Covington. Auditions for children five to six years old will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Auditions for applicants seven and up will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Girls should wear ballet leotards, tights and ballet shoes with their hair pulled back off their face. Boys should wear shorts, a T-shirt and socks or ballet shoes.

All applicants should arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled audition time to fill out information. In addition each applicant should bring a 4x6 photograph of themselves standing upright or in a ballet position. The photographs will not be returned.
