Take a drive to the mountains to celebrate mom this weekend at Wolf Mountain Vineyards and Winery, because nothing says I love you like being your mother’s designated driver! But this isn’t just any old winery. They consistently win awards and were even featured in Martha Stewart Weddings magazine – that’s nothing to scoff at. Plus they offer “Napa-style” wine tours and tastings. I have no clue what that entails since the closest I’ve been to Napa Valley is the wine section at the DeKalb Farmer’s Market, but it sounds awfully fancy, and it beats your standard brunch. You can skip the tour and just go for the tasting, or vice versa, and you can choose some of their super fancy items from the tasting room menu to go with your wines. You can sweeten the deal by buying your mom her favorite wine before you leave, so every time she gets tipsy she’ll think of her fantastic trip and not what awful thing you did last or how long it’s been since you called.
