There is something magical about children singing Christmas carols that touches the heart and instills the Christmas spirit. From a handful of door-to-door carolers to the most extravagant choral performance, it’s an experience that warms and comforts us during this stressful time of year.

The Oxford Singing Children and the Oxford Youth Singers will perform Christmas in Covington at the First Methodist Church of Covington on Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. They will perform again at the Nutcracker on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. at Porter Hall at Newton High School. For more information, call the Newton County Arts Association at (770) 786-8188.

Fairview Elementary, Oakhill Elementary and Veterans Middle School Choruses will perform in the Covington Square on Thursday, Dec.11 at 6 p.m.

The Atlanta Boys Choir will perform at the Monastery in Conyers on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by phone at (770) 929-3488, online at www.HolySpiritMonasteryGifts.com, or at the Monastery Gift Shop. Attend this event for an unforgettable experience.
