Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia is partnering up with the Waffle House stores in Newton County to support the opening of the Newton County Boys & Girls Club – Teen Center, serving youth eighth Grade through 12th grade which is scheduled to open in Fall 2018.
Each Waffle House store will be hosting a series of ongoing fundraisers such as Spirit Nights, Yard Sales and other fun activities to raise funds in support of the clubs opening.
“The Newton County Boys & Girls Clubs is going to be used to help the teens of Newton County have an opportunity to reach his or her potential. Our young people need to be prepared to compete and succeed in this difficult world. The goal of Club is to assist the teens of Newton County as they travel down two streets: one named knowledge and one named experience. These two streets lead to a highway named powerful thinking. Powerful thinking will take you to a place called success,” Landers A. Thomas, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia, said.
