COVINGTON, Ga. — Nearly one dozen vendors featuring a variety of produce, flowers and other products were on hand for the opening of the Covington Farmers Market on Saturday.
During its first full year of operation, the market is scheduled to open at the city’s Welcome Center, located at 1143 Oak St., every first and third Saturday through the end of October. Hours of operation are from 9-11 a.m.
The city is still in search of vendors that specialize in fresh fruits/vegetables, animal byproducts, plants/cut flowers, baked goods/bread, bath and body products, pet food and treats, and meats.
