Terry and Connie Wilson of Steinhatchee, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kendra Wilson, of Covington to Kristopher Pope, son of Michael and Joyce of Covington and Patti and Ben Maxedon of Zebulon.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Wiley and Yvonne Wilson of Covington and the late Marie and Randle Wilson of Covington. She is a 2004 graduate of Piedmont Academy and a 2008 graduate of Covenant College, where she received a degree in natural science. She is now employed with the Newton County Health Department.

The future groom is the grandson of Iris Pope of Covington, Hester and Edward Jones of Zebulon and the late Joe Pope and Ralph Yancey. He is a 2009 graduate of the University of Georgia with a master's in forestry. He is now employed with Foley Timber and Land in Perry, Fla.

The couple plans to wed April 30 in Monticello.
