Mr. and Mrs. George Stokes announce the engagement of their daughter Jennifer Leigh of Mansfield to Thomas Chad Weesner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Weesner.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morgan of Monticello and Mrs. Elizabeth Stokes and the late Frank Stokes of Mansfield. She is a graduate of Eastside High School and attends Georgia Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer University, Decatur. She was inducted into the Honor Society of Nursing her senior year at Mercer. She is presently employed at Northside Hospital, Atlanta, and plans to continue at Northside when she graduates May 9.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hilton of Covington and Mrs. Barbara Weesner and the late Jack Weesner of Greensboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. L.M. Standard of Covington. He is a graduate of Eastside High School and attended Georgia Perimeter College and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He is employed by Door Front Systems, Covington.

The couple will wed May 16 at Gaither’s Plantation.
