Gisele Shields of Monticello and David Lilly of Covington are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Amanda Lilly to Randy Honea Jr., son of Susan and Randy H. Honea Sr. of Cumming.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Lt. Col. Carl A. Rymer and Lillian Rymer of Cleveland, Tenn., and Arnold and Mary Lilly of Lewisburge, Tenn.

She is a 2001 graduate of Newton High School and works for the Newton County Water and Sewerage Authority.

The future groom is the grandson of Martha and Thomas B. Hicks Sr. of Cumming, and the late L.B. Honea and Eulene Honea of Cumming.

He graduated from North Forsythe High School in 2000 and works for Georgia Pacific in Madison.

The wedding is planned for friends and family June 1 in an outdoor ceremony at a private residence in Newborn.

A reception will be help following the ceremony at Burnt Pine Plantation.
