Kenneth and Eula Hardeman announce the engagement of their daughter La’Keidra O’Lise Hardeman of Covington to Lee Harris Mitchell III of New Orleans, La., son of Lee and Selarstean Mitchell.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Eloise Stenson of Ft. Valley, the late Willie B. Smith of Washington, D.C., and the late Malcolm and Iola Hardeman of Covington. She is the great-granddaughter of Ed and Lula Harris of Ft. Valley and Marshall and Lula Perry Hardeman and Willie and Maude Kelly. She has a Bachelor of Science in biology (pre-med) with a minor in chemistry from Xavier University and Master’s in maternal child health and health education/communication from Tulane University, New Orleans.

The future groom is the grandson of Daniel MaGee Sr. and the late Louella MaGee and the late Lee (Sonny) and Bernadine Mitchell. He is a graduate of NorthWestern State University, Natchitoches, La., with a Bachelor of Arts in accounting.

The couple will wed May 23 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Covington.
