Amy L. Nichols of Covington announces the engagement of her daughter, Brionna Shuree Flint, to Trey Scott Beam, son of Darrell and Tonia Beam of Covington. The bride-elect also is the daughter of the late Brian I. Flint.

The bride-elect, granddaughter of Laura L. Evans of Covington, is a graduate of Eastside High School. She is a deputy with the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Department.

The groom-elect, grandson of Johnny and Barbara Beam of Covington, is a graduate of Alpha Omega Academy of Covington. He is a deputy with the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Department.

A Sept. 28 wedding is planned at Gaither’s Plantation.
