The Reverend and Mrs. Keith Ferguson of Ellijay, formerly of Covington, announce the engagement of their daughter Hannah Elizabeth Ferguson to Matthew Dale Mowery of Louisville, Ky., son of Holly Mowery and Dale Mowery of Louisville.

 The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Martha Cash Tanner and the late Dr. Terrell Benson Tanner of Ellijay and Mr. and Mrs. James Allen Ferguson of Covington and the late Willie Stowe Ferguson of Monroe. She is a graduate of West Jessamine High School, Nicholasville, Ky., and is attending Asbury College where she will receive a Bachelor of Arts in journalism in May.

 The future groom is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Ward Mowery of Louisville, Geraldine Fay Heckeler and Henry Strathmann and the late Douglass Merritt Heckeler of Louisville. He is a graduate of Eastern High School, Louisville, attends Asbury College where he is majoring in music and serves as Director of Worship and Programming at Southern Acres Christian Church, Lexington, Ky.

 The couple will wed June 6 at Evangelical Methodist Church, Dalton.
