COVINGTON, Ga. — The Newton College and Career Academy FFA had four members compete in the Area Meats Evaluation Career Development.
This contest helps develop employment skills in the meat animal industry, expand their knowledge and understanding of appropriate meat terminology and use their analytical and critical thinking skills. Members included Have Cooper, Donavan Nicholas, Elias Dietrich and Brandon Snow.
NCCA placed second in area, qualifying for the state contest, with Brandon Snow placing as third high individual and Elias Dietrich placing as fifth high individual.
These members competed in the FFA State Meats Evaluation CDE this past weekend and placed 11th in state.
