COVINGTON, Ga. - Officers from Eastside High School FFA recently attended the annual COLT Conference hosted by the Agricultural Education Department.
Officers traveled to Sapelo Island, which is one of the barrier islands of Georgia. Each of the officers worked diligently on creating their program of activities (POA), which must be turned in and approved by the state.
In addition to creating their POA, FFA officers had the opportunity to develop a budget and plan community service activities. Officers also had the opportunity to seine the ocean to collect various species, toured the Reynolds Mansion, visited Chocolate Plantation, along one of the original Sears and Roebuck houses.
FFA Officers had numerous activities planned for the entire year and are excited to kick the year off.
