William (Bud) Wilbanks

William (Bud) Wilbanks, 68, of Covington, died May 31. The son of the late Charlie Sanford and Bertha Dotson Wilbanks, he was a member of Ola Baptist Church, Henry County, and enjoyed hunting and playing horseshoes. Mr. Wilbanks was preceded in death by daughter Gladys Mac Wilbanks, granddaughter Kayla Elizabeth Wilbanks and sister Effie Moore.

Surviving are wife Betty Wilbanks; daughter and son-in-law Mary Jane and Otis McCray of Young Harris; sons and daughters-in-law William L. and Kay Wilbanks of Young Harris, Robbie and Melissa Wilbanks of Covington; grandchildren Ryan A. Wilbanks and Makenzie F. Wilbanks, both of Covington; sisters and brothers-in-law Leona and Walt Roberson of Snellville, Marie Waugh of Covington, Pearl and James Young of Monroe, Geneva Steele of Jackson, Anna and James Brown of Madison; brothers and sisters-in-law Charlie Wilbanks Jr. of Covington, Lamar and Linda Wilbanks of Monroe, Johnny and Doreen Wilbanks of Jackson; 25 nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services were sdheld at 11 a.m. June 3 in the Access Road chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with the Rev. Kenneth Morrell officiating. Interment followed at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
