William A. "Bill" Moore

Mr. William A. "Bill" Moore, 90, of Covington, formerly of Conyers, died May 25. The son of the late John Hamilton and Bell Hambrick Moore, he was born in 1917 in DeKalb County. Mr. Moore served in the United States Navy during World War II, he was a member of Zion Baptist Church, he loved to read and was an avid gardener, formerly owning Moore's Greenhouses in Conyers.

Surviving are wife Mrs. Kathleen Moore; children Patricia and Bob Morris, Decatur, Vic and Connie Moore, Atlanta, Michael and Ellen Cannon, Covington, Andy and Deon Cannon, Jackson; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. May 29 at Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Reese Sanders officiating. Interment followed at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.
