William A. "Bill" Moore

Mr. William A. "Bill" Moore, 90, of Covington, formerly of Conyers, died May 25. The son of the late John Hamilton and Bess Hambrick Moore. He was born in 1917 in DeKalb County. Mr. Moore served in the United States Navy during World War II, was a member of Zion Baptist Church and loved to read. He was an avid gardener, formerly owning Moore's Greenhouses in Conyers.

Surviving are wife Mrs. Kathleen Moore; children patricia and Bob Morris of Decatur, Vic and Connie Moore of Atlanta, Michael and Ellen Cannon of Covingto, Andy and Deon Cannon of Jackson; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, at Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Reece Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends today, May 28, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
