Little Miss Tykerria TyShae Gotel died Aug. 22. The daughter of Mr. Marquez Dowdell and Ms. Lasharita Gotel, she was born Dec. 5, 2006. She was loved and know by several nicknames such as Ty, Nu-Nu, Chocolate and Sweet Pea. She was here for a short time but will be deeply missed. TyShae was preceded in death by her grandfather Mr. Christopher Dowdell.

Surviving are parents Mr. Marquez Dowdell, Ms. Lasharita Gotel; grandparents Ms. Kimberly Gotel (Jerome), Mr. Tommy Zellars, Ms. Patricia White (Greg); great-grandparents Ms. Diane Jacobs, Mr. Hollis Williams, Ms. Georgia Ann White (Larry), Mr. Harold (Sandra) Cooper, Ms. Charlie Mae Dowdell; aunts Ms. Alexis Zellars, Ms. Tannekkia Gotel; uncles Mr. Tavarus Brown, Mr. Mardrecus Dowdell; godmothers Ms. Kenyatte Tinsley, Ms. Almeta Giles; step grandmother Mrs. Flossie Giles; a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 30 at Annointed Body of Christ Church, Porterdale, with the Rev. Terry Shepherd officiating. Interment followed at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, Monticello.
