Teddy W. Hallum, 73, of Newborn, died April 9. Formerly of Atlanta, he had been a resident of Newborn for 36 years. Mr. Hallum attended Stetson University, was a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in chemical engineering and was a former employee of FDIC. He was a member of Free Will Chapel Baptist Church, Scottsmoor, Fla., was an avid sports fan and enjoyed fishing and listening to gospel music.

Surviving are sister Selena V. LaMar of Newborn, brother Leslie Howard (L.H.) Hallam of Scottsmoor and three nieces and three nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Colwell Baptist Church Cemetery, Blue Ridge, with the Rev. Glen Collis officiating. The family will receive friends at Aikins Funeral Home, 7871 Blue Ridge Dr., Blue Ridge, Saturday, April 12, from noon to 2 p.m.
